The Fund provides technical assistance to African countries through four main channels.
Experts
Such as doctors, teachers, university professors, maritime pilots, engineers, accountants, planners, postal services experts, computer engineers, mass media professionals, social and rural development specialists, were sent to African countries.
The Fund covers the salaries of the experts as well as their travelling expenses.
Scholarships
The Arab Fund provides scholarships in the Arab universities, institutes and academies. In doing so it bears all the studying and travelling expenses which include a round trip ticket for the student from his country to the Arab State where
he will study, book fees, medical care, and living expenses.
Training Courses
The Fund co-operates with some of the Arab and regional organisations and financial institutions
in sharing expenses of these programs, which include the round trip tickets for the trainees,their accommodation, training fees and per diem.
The Fund has conducted many training programs in the fields of statistics,
civil aviation, energy, water resources, tourism, desertification and draught.
Technical studies
The Fund prepares technical studies in different fields, including the field of economic development, upon the demand of the African countries. The Fund also provides the African countries with feasibility studies that they need in order to develop their countries.
